LADIES IN WAITING
I m feeling very creative at the moment and scored these excellent Thonet Replica chairs not so long ago and have decided to give them all a face lift. The classic bentwood chairs are on my challenge list and if it doesn't rain this weekend they will all receive a make over.

My favourite chairs
These gorgeous Peacock chairs are definately a blast from the past. I love the use of colours that my supplier has used that would brighten any room.
this wingback chair is so unique. The fabric is from a company called NoChintz and an inspiration for what i can do as well.
This chair is amazing the use of colours is dynamic and interesting. I found a chair exactly like this one and will be using the same colours to recreate this look in the next couple of weeks.

The Mad chair Lady
Well it's official i have now been titled by my gorgeous daughters - "The Mad Chair Lady."
To be honest i wasn't quite sure why they thought this until they dragged me into my studio and quietly counted the amount of chairs ready to be restored. They were right. I had an obsesssion with finding the worst chairs from the worst places and challenging myself to recreate beautiful furniture art or turning ugly ducklings into princesses.
I must admit they were right and at present I am very fustrated as i can't go about revitalising these found chairs because of the rain and fog out here in Cabarlah. Most of them need to have the old paint stripped off them or sanded back and under coated awaiting the master painter ( my darling partner Wayne ) .
soooooo its a waiting game , however the end result is always worth waiting for.
I am in the process of revamping 6 new chairs and cant wait to show them off... Stay tuned. Lisa

BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE
Inevitably us girls with fake blonde hair have to get the old roots touched up..!! sooooo off i go to my fav salon Cheveux where the gorgeous Bec suggests a big over haul - thank goodness ,so finally all of those grey hairs will finally be a thing of the past.!!
The best thing about sitting for 2 hours is checking out the chairs and why some are more comfortable than others. Well i am here to educate. The first chair you sit in really is the first stage of your hair salon experience where you talk with your hairdresser, read mags and get free coffee (yah) and then its on..The bleach is on and we sit and we sit and sit. Well that chair should be more comfortable as we sit there more than the reclining chair that vibrates when we have our bleach washed off and it smells better than before. i took note that i will have to write to the top person in chairs for hair salons as it is all back to front... has any one else noticed this before. So I thought i would suggest to my lovely friend and hair dresser maybe i could create a chair for a client to sit in for a week and survey what other clients think ................................... what does everyone think of this...see photos of my experience
